![]() I was born in Washington, DC sometime in 1969. My early childhood was spent around the Chesapeak Bay. Next, in a long history of moving constantly, I found myself in Fountain Hills, Arizona. This was a bit of a change from a state that is over 1/2 water. Fountain Hills, at the time, boasted a U-Totem (Circle K-like store) and a Bashes (Safeway-like store). The rest of the town was made up of golf courses, snakes, lizzards, spiders and desert. I grew to like reptiles and insects (something like -- if you can beat 'em, join 'em). After highschool in Scottsdale, Arizona, I went to a year of college at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. Which is a nice town unless you are a freshman without a car. I soon moved back to the suburbs of Phoenix and went into the work force. The jobs I had included working for a high risk insurance firm, an auto claim insurance company and an ambulance company. For reasons we won't mention here I moved to Tucson, Arizona and worked as a manager for a pet store. A year later, I went to work for the University of Arizona (see resume) and stayed in Tucson for many years. I completed my bachelors while working at the university. During my time in Tucson, I realized that Phoenix is THE PIT OF HELL and I would never live there again. On a whim, I moved to Oregon for jobs and school. Once again changing to different temperature and precipitation extremes. For more insight see Photos. Also see my web diary, which should be updated more often. Or email
