Carafergus, Ireland
While in Ireland, I stayed with Leslie and Joe
in Dublin. For an SCA event we went to Carafergus Castle near Belfast
for a Demo. This picture was used for a newspaper article in the
small town of Carafergus (I have no idea how to spell this). I made
the dress Leslie is wearing to help pay her back for letting me stay with
her. |
The Giants Causeway, Ireland
At the very Northern tip of Ireland lies a formation
of basalt. When lava hits water and is slowly cooled it sometimes
forms basalt "crystals". They look very much like man-made stepping
stones. Legend says that Fin McCool (a giant) used this area as stepping
stones to cross to Scottland. |

Dublin, Ireland
Dublin is littered with many statues. This
one, of Molly Malone, shows that the stories about her selling more than
fish might have been true. The local Dubliners have given alternate
names to all the statues. Per my friend Joe, this one is named "The
Tart with the Cart". |
Edinburough, Scottland
This is my favorite city. It was built
inside a wall with a castle. When they ran out of room, they simply
built down or up. The city has more than 3 levels with streets in
the air and catacombs underneath it. |

Scottland
During our travels abroad, we stayed in youth
hostels and camped. This is my small tent. Imagine 2 people
and gear in this -- but it's light. |
Port Patrick, Scottland
This was my favorite castle. It was ancient
and on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Notice me playing ghost inside. |
